One of the newest items in the Caves and Cliffs Part 1 update is the Spyglass. This new item allows players to zoom in on an object that is a distance away.

It’s easy to make, but you will need to collect some materials to get started. Specifically, you’ll need Copper Ingots and Amethyst Shards.

To craft the Spyglass, you’ll need to place the two items into the crafting grid. They need to be placed exactly as shown. The first item should go in the top-middle slot, while the second goes in the second-to-bottom slot.

Once you have everything in place, you’ll need to press Use/Place Item. After you confirm, the Spyglass will be ready. You can then drag it to your inventory.

You can use it to spy on other players. You can also use it to view faraway objects. However, keep in mind that you’ll be slowed down when you’re using the spyglass. So be careful not to stay scoped in for too long.

If you’re looking for something specific, you can also zoom in and out with the spyglass. Depending on your FOV settings, you can have the Spyglass render between 30% and 110% of your vision.

The best time to build a spyglass is early on in your playthrough. That way, you’ll be able to see the whole world and take advantage of its many useful features.

You can also use the Spyglass to spy on other players. If you’re in a dungeon, for example, you can easily spot mobs from a distance.
